Certificate Enrollment

1. Program Description
The Certificate of Higher Consciousness is an interdisciplinary certificate program designed to integrate academic study, practical application, personal development, and the exploration of consciousness. The program includes a combination of Ananda College courses, approved partner courses, elective or focus-area study, and participation in Wholeness Sessions. Students are responsible for completing all assigned program requirements before the Certificate of Higher Consciousness may be awarded.
Program: Certificate of Higher Consciousness
Delivery Format: Primarily asynchronous online study, supplemented by live Wholeness Sessions and approved partner-hosted courses.
2. Tuition
The total tuition for the Certificate of Higher Consciousness is:
$2,500
Unless otherwise stated in writing, tuition covers:
access to required Ananda College online courses;
access to approved partner courses included in the student’s Certificate plan;
participation in Wholeness Sessions;
academic and administrative support;
student progress tracking; and
issuance of the Certificate of Higher Consciousness upon successful completion of all requirements.
Tuition does not automatically include optional courses, travel programs, retreats, books, materials, certification fees charged by outside organizations, or other expenses unless specifically identified as included.
3. Payment
Enrollment is considered complete when the student has:
been formally accepted into the program;
agreed to this Enrollment Agreement; and
completed the required tuition payment or an approved payment arrangement.
Students using an approved payment plan remain responsible for the full balance according to the terms of that plan.
Failure to remain current on tuition payments may result in suspension of course access until the account is brought into good standing.
4. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Students may cancel their enrollment by providing written notice to Ananda College. If cancellation is requested within seven (7) days of enrollment, or before the student begins the program, whichever is later, the College will refund all tuition paid.
After this cancellation period, a student may withdraw from the Certificate Program at any time by providing written notice to the College. Students who withdraw after beginning the program but before completing 60% of the program will receive a prorated refund based on the portion of the program not completed.
Once a student has completed more than 60% of the Certificate Program, tuition is considered earned and no refund will be issued. Any refund due will be issued within 45 days of the College receiving notice of cancellation or withdrawal.
5. Program Completion
Students must successfully complete all required coursework and other program requirements before receiving the Certificate of Higher Consciousness.
Program requirements may include:
completion of required core courses;
completion of approved focus-area or elective courses;
completion of designated partner courses;
satisfactory completion of assignments and assessments;
participation in required Wholeness Sessions, if applicable; and
fulfillment of any final integration or completion requirements established by the College.
The College may approve reasonable substitutions or modifications to a student’s academic plan when appropriate.
6. Time to Completion
The Certificate is designed to allow flexible and primarily self-paced study. Students are expected to make reasonable and consistent progress toward completion. The College may establish a maximum period within which Certificate requirements must be completed. If such a period applies, it will be communicated to students in writing. A student who requires an extended leave or substantial interruption in study should contact the College to discuss an appropriate plan for continuing the program.
7. Partner-Hosted Courses
Some courses included in the Certificate may be delivered by educational partners or affiliated organizations through their own websites or learning platforms. Ananda College will identify which partner-hosted courses are approved as part of the student’s Certificate program. Students may be required to create accounts on partner platforms and comply with the reasonable participation and technology requirements of those organizations.
Successful completion of an outside course may require verification by the partner organization, submission of a certificate of completion, or fulfillment of an additional Ananda College integration assignment. Ananda College retains responsibility for determining whether an outside course satisfies Certificate requirements.
8. Wholeness Sessions
Certificate students may be invited or required to participate in live Wholeness Sessions. These sessions are intended to help students integrate ideas across different courses, reflect on their studies, engage with faculty and fellow students, and explore the relationships between academic learning, personal development, and practical life. Attendance expectations will be communicated separately as part of the Certificate program requirements.
9. Academic Progress and Student Records
Ananda College will maintain records of the student’s enrollment and progress toward completion of the Certificate. Students are responsible for reviewing their academic progress and notifying the College if they believe a course completion, credit, or other requirement has not been recorded correctly. For partner-hosted courses, there may be a short delay between completion of the outside course and its appearance in the student’s Ananda College record.
10. Academic Integrity and Student Conduct
Students are expected to engage honestly and responsibly in their studies. Academic misconduct may include plagiarism, unauthorized assistance, falsification of work, misrepresentation of course completion, or other conduct inconsistent with the academic standards of Ananda College. Students are also expected to communicate respectfully with faculty, staff, partner organizations, and fellow students. Serious or repeated violations may result in academic consequences, suspension, or dismissal from the program.
11. Technology Requirements
Because the program is delivered primarily online, students are responsible for maintaining adequate access to:
a reliable internet connection;
a computer or other suitable device;
email;
web conferencing software when required; and
websites or learning platforms used by Ananda College and its educational partners.
Students should notify the College if technical circumstances create a significant barrier to participation.
12. Changes to Courses or Program Requirements
Ananda College may occasionally modify course offerings, instructors, course platforms, schedules, partner arrangements, or other program elements. When reasonable changes are necessary, the College will make good-faith efforts to preserve the student’s ability to complete the Certificate without substantially altering the educational purpose of the program. If a required course becomes unavailable, the College may approve an equivalent or appropriate substitute.
13. Nature of the Credential
The Certificate of Higher Consciousness is a certificate issued by Ananda College upon successful completion of the program requirements.It is not represented as a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, doctoral degree, professional license, or guarantee of employment, professional advancement, transfer credit, admission to another institution, or eligibility for professional licensure.
Students are responsible for determining whether the Certificate will meet the requirements of an employer, professional organization, licensing authority, educational institution, or other third party.
14. Transfer of Credit
Acceptance of Ananda College coursework or Certificate credit by another institution is determined solely by the receiving institution.
Ananda College cannot guarantee that another school, college, university, employer, licensing organization, or other entity will accept the Certificate or associated coursework for transfer, employment, licensure, or other purposes.
15. Withdrawal or Dismissal
A student may withdraw from the Certificate program by notifying Ananda College in writing.
The College may dismiss or suspend a student for reasons including:
failure to meet academic requirements;
serious or repeated violations of academic integrity;
serious misconduct;
nonpayment of tuition;
misuse of College systems; or
substantial failure to participate in required elements of the program.
Any financial obligations or refunds following withdrawal or dismissal will be governed by the applicable refund policy.
16. Student Acknowledgment
By signing or electronically accepting this Agreement, the student acknowledges that they:
have been accepted into the Certificate of Higher Consciousness;
have reviewed the program description and requirements;
understand the tuition and payment terms;
understand the refund and cancellation policy;
understand that some courses may be hosted by partner organizations;
understand the nature of the Certificate credential;
understand that transfer or recognition by other institutions is not guaranteed; and
agree to comply with the academic and administrative policies of Ananda College.
