Consult Google Maps. Our address is The Expanding Light Retreat, 13930 Expanding Light Drive, Nevada City, CA.

Be careful about relying fully on GPS or online maps. Google Maps is accurate, but make sure you do not miss the exit when I-80 turns toward Reno.

You will need to rent a car, or if you need a ride to or from the bus, train, or plane, please contact us and we can share contact information for drivers who have helped our guests in the past.

The best airport to fly into is Sacramento International Airport (SMF). The Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is also an option, but is less preferable. Both airports are approximately 1.5 hours driving distance from us.  However, in November, highway 80 over Donner Pass from Reno can be closed or compromised due to heavy snowfall.  If you’re coming to the conference, best to use the Sacramento airport.

Greyhound Bus

Amtrak Bus/Train

Amtrak offers bus/train service from available cities into Colfax (if coming from the East) and Auburn Bus Station (if coming from the West), each about an hour driving distance from us.
