Each spring, Ananda College of Living Wisdom hosts an inspiring art show in the Lotus Building, located in downtown Ananda Village—just a short 5–10 minute drive from the renowned Crystal Hermitage Tulip Gardens.
This exhibition features artists exploring the theme of The Arts and Consciousness, showcasing original works designed to uplift and inspire. We celebrate creators who seek to express higher awareness through painting and mixed media, offering pieces that invite reflection and inner connection. Each year we select a different theme for our gallery whcih the artists try to express through their work.
Please email admissions@anandacollege.org if you would like to purchase one of the paintings on this page.
The first theme, in 2021, was “The Many Aspects of Divine Mother”. Twenty artists from throughout the world and Ananda Village created their own unique interpretation of who and what “Divine Mother” was. Some represented her as the Divine Mother in nature, while others interpreted her as the Divine Feminine Body, the Divine Mother as formless light, or the Divine Mother archetype.
There’s Joy in the Heavens
The 2026 Lotus Art Gallery theme is entitled “There’s Joy in the Heavens” in honor of the 100th anniversary of Ananda’s founder, Swami Kriyananda, who wrote over 400 books and musical pieces in his lifetime, beginning in 1964. His music is designed to uplift consciousness and express “music as a language of the soul. His repertoire includes over 190 musical and instrumental pieces published in the Ananda Songbook.
Kriyananda writes that he received his music directly from “a higher plane” rather than inventing or creating music as some musicians do. Just a few of the musical pieces you might hear during your tour of this year’s Lotus Gallery art show include “There’s Joy in the Heavens”, “Woodland Devas” and “Cherry Blossoms in Kyoto”.
