Ancient Peru Through The Yuga Cycles of Time & Divine Mother Cosmology

September 20 – October 2, 2026 – Open to Everyone

Discover the sacred heart of Peru through the lens of the Yuga Cycles of Time & Divine Mother Cosmology as we travel with Nayaswami Nischala and Nakula to the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cusco and Lake Titicaca. Experience renewal, devotion, and gratitude with sacred Pachamama rituals. Ancient Peru honors nature–the sky, the waters and especially the mountains in a deep way, very similar to the Vedic tradition.  In both cultures, the sound of the conch is considered sacred, purifying the environment, dispelling negative energy and inviting positive energy.  The sound of the conch represents the primordial sound of “Om”, connecting us to the creation of the universe and cosmic consciousness. As we travel together on this pilgrimage through Peru, you’ll have time to meditate in the sacred temples of nature. We’ll visit holy sites and temples from the higher yugas. You’ll witness the unique bio-diversity and ecosystems, from high altitude puna grasslands and wetlands, to the cloud forests of Machu Picchu, to Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. And you’ll experience some of the ancient ceremonies that will bring you closer to the heart of the Divine Mother energy still worshipped in these sacred lands.

Your tour includes an optional and complimentary 6-week study of Peru through the lens of the Yuga Cycles of Time that will prepare you for the sacred sites we’ll be visiting.  We’ll also offer a reading list to help you deepen this unique travel experience.

Your Itinerary

Arrive at the Cusco airport and transfer to our hotel in Sacred Valley by private service. (It takes 2 hours from Cusco airport to our hotel)

Welcome

We begin our journey in the Sacred Valley of Peru, where we’ll spend 3 nights in a lower altitude hotel with beautiful gardens and a restaurant in honor of an agriculturist with a love of native plants and the Andean view of the cosmos.

We will have our Welcome Dinner here.  If you plan to arrive early to adjust to the altitude, (which we recommend), please let us know soon. Horseback riding to observe the surrounding landscapes is available here.

Sept. 21st

We’ll visit the stunning landscapes of Maras and the circular terraces of Moray, and at the end of the day return to Cusco for a Shamanic ceremony and blessing for the start of our journey—an offering of gratitude to Mother Earth, the Divine Mother of the universe.  Hand over the offerings the shaman uses and with devotion and gratitude ask Divine Mother to bless you for the future, just as locals continue to do each day.

Sept. 22nd

A full day Sacred Valley tour to Chinchero, the Chinchero market, and the huge fortress of Ollyantaytambo, which includes the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Moon, the Temple of the Water and the Temple of the Condor.  From here we’ll travel to Pisac, to view the ancient ruins which include a sundial and religious ceremonial center, followed by lunch and a visit to the Pisac market, which has deep historical roots to both pre-Columbian and Incan civilizations.

Travel to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Transfer from hotel to train station where we’ll travel by Peruvian Rail to Aguas Calientes, an approximately two-hour trip. At Aguas Calientes we’ll be met by a bus that takes us up to the citadel of Machu Picchu, considered one of the most extraordinary examples of architecture in the world.

We will study this site, and all the sites we visit in Peru during our pre-tour classes, offering facts, stories, myths and the astronomical knowledge most tourists never learn about.

Note: carry-on luggage per passenger is limited to 11 pounds. A large suitcase can be stored at our hotel in Cusco.

Sept. 24th

Second entrance to Machu Picchu or Huyana Picchu, or visit to nearby town.

Note: we’ll be staying in Inkaterra El Mapi Hotel in the village of Machu Picchu.

Sept. 25th

Train from Machu Picchu back to Ollyantaytambo. Transfer to private coach for a Cusco City Tour. The tour starts with a visit to the Santo Domingo Convent, a large Renaissance-baroque complex built over the Inca Coriacancha temple, which some feel was built over an even older temple site from the higher yugas. Ancient chronicles say the Inca Temple was dedicated to the worship of the Sun, covered with gold and filled with golden representations of nature. Today, the site is laden with Spanish and Catholic symbology. We’ll meditate here, attuning ourselves to the energy and whispers from higher consciousness.

Next, we’ll head to the hills above Cusco to visit the mysterious site of Sacsayhuaman. We’ll study this site in our pre-tour classes, as there is much to say about its relevance as a reminder of super-human abilities in the higher ages. We’ll visit two other sites here in Cusco before returning to our hotel.

During our stay in Cusco we’ll attend a private “Payment to the Mother Earth” ceremony. The indigenous communities keep alive this ceremony to honor the Pachamama and express their gratitude to her.

Sept. 26th

Tour to Tipon, Pikillaqta, and Andahuaylillas. The oldest known culture to settle in Cusco was the Marcavalle culture, existing around 1,500 BCE, over 3,500 years ago, during the Descending Dwapara Yuga, about the same time as the Mycean civilization in Greece and the collapse of the Bronze Age.

One of the most notable sites of pre-Incan civilizations we’ll visit is located in Pikillaqta, with remains from the Wari civilization. It includes an irrigation system considered a masterpiece of hydraulic engineering, still used by the surrounding population. We’ll visit two other sites before returning to Cusco.

A free day at your leisure, to enjoy the wonders of Cusco city.

Sept. 28th

First-class train from Cusco to Puno, with lunch and tea included.

This is an unforgettable experience of crossing the Peruvian Andes between Cusco and Puno on the Peru Rail Titicaca train. We’ll be traveling by train over 10 ½ hours today. The train travels through the scenic Peruvian Andes, offering views of mountains, plains and the changing weather. We’ll enjoy a 3-course gourmet lunch with local ingredients, onboard live music and entertainment and two stops along the way. The train has comfortable chairs, the chance to walk around, and an open-air observatory car.

When we reach Puno, we will be picked up from the train, accompanied by our guide and taken to our hotel.

Sept. 29th

Full day tour of Uros and Taquille Islands. We’ll visit the famous and colorful floating islands of the Uros, a fascinating and ancestral society that inhabits a series of artificial islands built with totora, a reed that grows in Lake Titicaca. The islands are built by weaving tortora in the places where they are thicker and form a natural layer. They also build their tortora houses over it. From here we’ll continue our trip to Taquille Island. Unlike other islands inhabited by Aymara-speaking people in the lake, these residents speak Quechua, as it was part of the Inca Empire. We’ll have a demonstration here and after lunch we will walk to the pier to return to Puno port.

We’ll enjoy a Mystical Ceremony just for our group. Lake Titicaca is a site of deep spiritual significance, with indigenous communities practicing ancient rituals and ceremonies that honor the earth and water spirits. These rituals include offerings to Pachamama (Divine Mother Earth) and celebrations of the sun, reflecting a profound connection to nature and the cosmos. If you’d like, we can participate in these ceremonies, the offerings and the sacred dances to obtain a deeper understanding of the ancient cultures.

Sept. 30th

Today we’ll tour Chucito, home of the Inca Uyo fertility temple, the Santo Domingo church (for a meditation) and more. From here, we’ll travel to the Aymara community of Acore, where communities have implemented six Waru Waru, an invention of the past to protect the potato and quinoa crops. For decades it’s been thought these structures were built by extraterrestials. Due to its unique construction the Waru Waru cannot flood during the rainy season because it has an intelligent drainage system that reaches the river. After our visit to the Waru Warus, we’ll return to Puno for one of the highlights of our tour.

We will have a mystical ceremony at Aramu Maru Doorway, just for our group.

We will study this mystical doorway, known at the “Gate of the Gods” in our class series and there will be a few books we’ll read to prepare ourselves. This “Gate of the Gods” is shrouded in myths and legends, with many believing it to be a portal to another dimension or gateway for gods and priests.

One popular legend tells of an Inca priest named Aramum Muru who escaped the Spanish conquistadors with a golden solar disc, used it to activate the doorway, and then vanished through it.

Other myths suggest it’s a place for shamanic journeys, spiritual encounters, and even a connection to extraterrestrial beings. Some have seen visions of tall beings visiting the doorway which may correlate with the higher Treta and Satya Yugas when people can be thirty feet tall. Concurrently, modern day researcher and historian Brien Forrester, says that DNA of giant-like skulls found in Paracus, Peru, support the existence of a separate, non-human lineage in Peru.

Many believe the gateway is accessible to those with the right spiritual preparation or “key” to the doorway. Some believe shamans use it for astral projection or to travel to the spirit realms. Locals have reported feeling strong spiritual energy when near the doorway. We will discuss these ideas as we do know that many myths are based on real events that did happen in the higher yuga cycles of time.

Oct. 1st

At Sillustani, a peninsula on the Umayo Lagoon, we’ll visit one of the world’s largest necropolis, with funerary towers that stand 13 feet tall.  The chullpas, with their east-facing entrances, served as a connection between the world of the living and the world of the spirits. This orientation towards the rising sun, symbolized reincarnation and eternity, important concepts for Andean cosmology.  The chullpas are also aligned with solstices and equinoxes, functioning as astronomical markers.

The chullpas were constructed to aid the soul’s journey to the world of the ancestors. It is thought that the souls of the departed would cross Lake Umayo to reach the Hanan Pacha, the celestial realm in Andean cosmology.

From here we’ll go to Atuncola, a town crossed with beautiful cobblestone streets on the coast of Lake Titicaca.

Our final goodbye will include a delicious dinner with Peruvian entertainment.

Terms & Conditions

Health Requirements for Traveling to Peru

You should be reasonably fit, able to walk up stairs and walk throughout the day. The tour includes walking uphill, and walking on uneven surfaces.

**Altitude Adjustment:

During your visits to cities located over the 8,200 feet above sea level, like Cusco (11,000 ft) or Lake Titicaca (13,000 ft), shortness of breath and heart pounding are normal, given the scarcity of oxygen. Some people may experience headache, loss of appetite, extreme fatigue, and nausea. Most symptoms develop the first day at high altitude, though, occasionally, travelers have delayed reactions. The best advice is to rest on your first day in the highlands. Drink plenty of water and take the local natural remedy: coca tea (it is perfectly legal). Do not eat too much and avoid alcohol and fizzy drinks. It is recommended that you consult your doctor before traveling if you have any respiratory or heart condition.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is compulsory for all our travelers and should be taken out at the time of booking. Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with a recommended minimum coverage of US $200,000 for each of the categories of cover. We also strongly recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects. You must provide proof of your travel insurance a couple weeks ahead of departure; you will not be able to join the trip without it. Here are a couple options:

Travel Documents

You must hold a valid National Travel passport with an expiration date at least six months after the end of your stay. No visa is needed for travelers from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, and most other countries in the Americas and Europe.
